Student Governing Board Begins 2009-2010 Year
Kingfisher Regional Hospital announces that its Student Governing Board has begun its 2009-2010 season. The student governing board gives an opportunity for area high school seniors to learn more about healthcare and especially community hospitals. During the school year, the student board meets once a month, will learn about a new healthcare careers and will prepare for a healthcare project to be presented at the end of the school year.
Damon Benson, KRH CEO, says, “The board is comprised of some of the best and brightest students from our communities. With over 33 applicants this year, we had to narrow it down to 17 students. It was very difficult to narrow down the applicants. It is exciting to know that many of them are looking at healthcare as a career option. With our focus on training and educating local people in the healthcare field, we are proud to host this elite group for the school year.”
